Terms of Use

By reading or commenting on this site you accept these terms. Last updated 03/09/2026.

What this site is

A personal technical blog. It is written in my own time, about my own projects, and represents nobody but me. It is not a professional service, not a product, and not an offer of anything.

Content and reuse

Posts and pages are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial–ShareAlike 4.0 International. What that permits, and how to ask for more, is set out on the licence page.

Code snippets, configuration fragments and commands published here may be used freely, including commercially, without attribution. They are examples, not a library.

Comments

Comments are welcome and are moderated. By posting one you confirm that it is your own work or that you are entitled to post it, and you grant me a non-exclusive right to display it here and to keep displaying it.

Comments that are unlawful, defamatory, obscene, infringing, or that exist to place a link will be removed. I do not have to explain a removal, and a removed comment does not come back.

Technical content is used at your own risk

Instructions here describe what worked on my own systems at the time of writing. Software changes. Follow anything published here on a machine you can afford to break, after taking a backup you have tested. I am not liable for lost data, broken installations, downtime, or any other consequence of acting on something you read here.

Nothing here is legal advice

I am an advocate by profession. Nothing on this site is legal advice, and reading it creates no lawyer–client relationship. If a post touches on law it does so as commentary on a technical subject, not as an opinion you may act on.

Links out

Links to other sites are not endorsements. Many links in the older posts are fifteen years old and lead nowhere at all.

Availability

This site broke in 2011 and stayed broken for fifteen years. No promise of uptime is offered, and none should be inferred.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Hyderabad, Telangana have exclusive jurisdiction.
